Hi there. Another Newbie
« on: May 29, 2012, 05:58:23 PM »
Gidday all.
Bit of an  intro for my wife (Angie), 5 daughters and myself (Neil).

My missus and I are both nearly 49 with 5 of our daughters ranging from 7 through to 24.  Have been part of the Geelong 4 WD Club for 11 years now and off course we love our great country. I have always loved the swag, tent and hoochie as my Army days have never really left me. (Worst luck.)lol

Angie wanted a little more luxury so we have just bought a Jayco Outback Eagle camper with the shower, simplicity suspension, treg hitch etc so she will now be happier (so will the kids). I want to be able to take the camper off road (within reason,) thus the change of the hitch and the suspension.

We would love to meet other families/singles/couples anyone for that matter who enjoys exploring this great place of ours as we are easy to get along with.

Angie loves a  wine and I love a beer, wine, Bourbon, bundy, ouzo, whatever and a ranging fire.

Care to join us.

Our first trip I am planning in the July school holidays is up to Hattah Lakes just south of Mildura to try the camper out for the first time as we don't pick it up til the 18th June. Anyone interested?? Probably going for 3 or 4 nights somewhere in the holidays, then looking at perhaps Dargo region in Sept school holidays.

It will probably take me some time to get used to finding topics on this forum so forgive me if I stuff a few things up in the process. If I make a spelling mistake, please disregard also as &*^* happens.

All the best from Neil, Angie and all the rug rats.

Ciao

G'day & Welcome.

You should check out our next big Vic get together, it will be in the Trips section. October. There will be  lot of us.  I'm writing this on my iPhone, but can't wait to see a pic of your rig, it sounds like a boys own toy.

Hi Neil, Angie and ladies,

Welcome to My Swag.  I'm also new to this CT stuff and having a great time with our two girls who enjoy getting outside.  With the challenges we have at our place with  our girls hogging the bathroom,  the line at your place must be a riot

Hi again. Thankyou very much for the warm welcome.  I will put some pics of the GQ when I figure out how to do it. I will get there. Any hints would be appreciated as I am not that great with navigating these forums til I get some exposure to them.
Thanks again. Will have a play with the forum tomorrow.
Cheers

Hey Neil.

When you open the dialong box to make a post (click reply) just below the dialog box (bottom left) you will see an additional options button, click that. Then browse for your photos and click on them to upload. You photos need to be less than 500kb so you may have to resize them before you can upload them.

Send me a PM if you need more info.

Regards

Jas

Neil

I cant see them attached to your post. To add them at the top in your original post click on modify and then on the additional options tab. They will appear and you should be able to see them when you revisit your post if it has worked properly.

You just need to check the size of the files (right click/properties) and make sure they are less that 500kb. I think you can post a max of five but the toatal kb must be less than 2000 and each file less than 500kb.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Hi Jas and rest of the crew. Thanks for your patience and guidance with putting up the pics. Sorry if they are too big but they are under the 500kb. Not sure if this is ok??
All the best and Cheers
