Does Anyone Know About Telstra T-Boxes?
« on: May 30, 2012, 10:36:50 AM »
Hi
We have a T-Box that has decided to send it's signal in black and white. even with recorded shows that I know for sure are stored in colour

* Tried a full re-set no good

* can't get any clues off the web

* it's hooked up to an Analog TV, I have frigged with the TV settings- no good

Only thing I have not tried is hook it up to the plasma in the lounge (which has another T-Box) to fully eliminate that possibility

If someone knows something that's be great.

We had a t-hub with the same problems, took it back to Telstra and got a full refund, with no questions asked

ha ha I can't do that in this case
the one in the lounge is the replacement one, the one with the bugs is the original, Telstra never asked for it back

BTW I found out that most of T-Boxes problems are due to being hooked up via wi fi.
If the download rate is not good enough then the HDD eventually crashes, plus the remotes were weak

the new one has 2 batteries in the remote and it is now on a cable direct to the router, she flies

maybe I'll plug the old one into a cable and see what happens

Never had the black and white problem but any issues we have had have been rectified with a soft ware upgrade ours is the older model used to have issues all the time but its been good the last 6 months or so after regular updates.

tried it in the plasma, worked fine with the hdmi cable so it's either not liking the old TV or the standard cables I'm using for that outfit have a problem

oh well
