Its a shame I dont live in Halls creek no more the days when another offer came up to keep me away from the Halls Creek Pub I would jump at it . I wonder if the bloke I use to work for is pushing daisies ? But Tassie is a bit of a trek to visit my old trotting grounds .

Looks like it could be a Kimberley pub crawl with a breather out at Mulan :)

Tjupurula, any places out your way that could fit 10 or so campers? Probably somewhere off Community land so we don't get in trouble if someone brings grog in.
We haven't been up your way yet besides Servo food at Hells Crack Halls Creek so don't know the area.
 :D
We usually go to Middle Lagoon (up the Dampier Peninsula) to let the kids swim or up the Gibb.

Tjupurula  To arrange a catchup nominate a time & place that is best suited to yourself . There  may be 2 CTs there or a whole heap more , & the blowins . Have a go
At Whroo catch up we had 15 CTs , Swaggers + 3 Blowins we didnt even know
! large campfire , lots of CT space with plenty of warning it will be a Hoot
You can go your own way . Treg Up & Make Dust

I agree with you about Hells Crack, sorry, Halls Creek, it is one town that I avoid like anything.  Istop there only for fuel and keep going.

At the moment I have just thrown a suggestion out there Speewa.  I would never be so obnoxious as to suggest a time and place that is suited only to me, and there is no specific time frame yet, as it is just wondering when, where and if.

THis is not myplace Big Red, I am not a traditional owner, though some of my family are.  It is something that I am basically putting "out there" at the moment, a whole lot of arrangements could be made first.

That could be on the cards yet, as the Kimberley is a massive area, and no definite plans have been made yet.

We'll be around that area in July sometime - Are you at Mulan ? Do we need a permit to get in there ? Would be good to say hello and check out the area with a local - being landscape photographers we need something different to snap at - When we get a bit closer and we still have internet we will send a PM through here for phone and directions - Pretty certain we will only be coming in from the Halls Creek end of the Tanami Road .. Might need a campsite too ...
Cheers
Steve and Nadia ..

Yes Steve and Nadia, I am on the edge of Lake Gregory at Mulan.  The Campsite would not be a problems, we have that establsihed already, and when it comes to photography, you could snap yourself silly out here.  I would speak to my nephew, as he is Head Ranger, and get vehicles bearing MySwag insignia (flags or stickers), permit exempted, that would not be a problem.

Hi DeInKt
What part of the Pilbara are you from, I have been to Karatha, Roebourne, Hedland, Tom Price Wickham and a few locations in between, very nice country I must admit.

Tjupurula we are in Hedland and love the country up here. Lots to see! July will not come around quick enough for our 4 week trip on the Gibb.

Will get in touch with you soon as I'm looking for some advice on somewhere to stay between Broome and the Bungle Bungle to break that stretch up, hoping you might have some ideas???

Have we gotten any closer to a time and place? Most of the touristy spots will be crowded from now on so a spot not so well known might be the go. Weekends are good for us but can probably swing time off whenever.
