long time in tents, first time in a CT, first time on myswag
« on: September 15, 2012, 07:53:41 PM »
Spent most of my time camping up and down NSW mid/far north coast surfing and fishing. Spent 10 months doing a big lap with my then girlfriend, now wife,  in a tent. We now have 2 youngsters, 4yo and 6yo. After a camping trip to Point Plommer in 2009 was cut short before a divorce occurred, the decision was then made to get a CT.

We bought a 2nd hand off road Central Coast Camper. It hadn't been garaged so I had it sand blasted and resprayed. Besides that I have done nothing to it except some basic creature comfort gadgets. I've got a 130ah deep cell and will get some panels to run the Engel and LED's soon.

I stumbled across this site while doing some prelim planning/dreaming for a 12 week trip next year. Maybe the Cape, maybe the centre and gulf, who knows.

I appreciated the info and advice on this site and thought it was only fair to sign up and perhaps share some of my limited knowledge on camping, or perhaps some of my more detailed knowledge of the NSW north coast, surfing spots, fishing holes or drinking holes!!

Common choppy, stop pulling everyone's leg. We all know that good camping, fishing and surfing spots are all but nonexistent on the NSW north coast. As for pointing at plumbers, well that's downright dangerous, financially anyway.

Welcome to The Show Choppy,  what part of the North Coast are you at? Also, knowing the locals, I'm sure that there arn't any unknown drinking spots in this area!!

I'm not from the north coast - I just love holidaying there!! I live in Blacksmiths, just south of Newey. Spent a lot of time at Seal Rocks in my youth and love fishing/spearing out of Coffs and Wooli.
