iPhone camping app.
« on: March 08, 2012, 03:21:09 PM »
For those with an iPhone.
I downloaded an app called wiki camps  and it has caravan parks and bush camps listed. It gives a lat/long and google map images. Tells you if dogs are allowed/ water available / toilets/ showers/wether its free or what the fees are.
It's pretty good.
You also have the ability to make your own or save others as favorites.

Pretty good for $1.99

I have been adding the sites from the CT mag and 4wd mags do when we are on the road we can have no dramas finding them. There is a lot that's not there but this a user input app and it's the best one I've seen so far. We will be updating it when we find good spots.

Not a bad app, will take me a year to add all the camps from my camps 6 book though lol

If you are travelling a fair way may be worth checking on google.  It lists a park in Sandy Bay and Kingston Beach here in tas and they havent been around for donkeys years.
My alternative to cheap import trailers;

WikiCamps Australia for Android

Would grab a copy myself, but they want credit card details. I refuse to put stuff like that on the Net!

I got a copy the other day, great app. I've also been adding some spots around the flinders

Definitely worth the 99c
