Good choice of camper Kimberley Mob.  Also have a Camprite (modified TL3) based in Kimberley.
You will be extra pleased after camping in rain, knowing that none of the canvas is in the red dirt.
Because the sleeping arrangements are not dependent on finding level ground, we have found that the Camprite greatly increases the number of potential campsites.

Enjoy

Cheers

G'day welcome to the forum i will be up your way in september not the ideal time temp wise but other family engagements don't allow it any earlier.
Only a quick trip through the G.R.R from east to west of about 3 to 4 days so any pointers from a local would be handy.
One of those trips that will only make me hungry to return as soon as possible.

+1

I wish I had a copy of the ad put in the West Australian put in about 15 years ago as an April Fools Joke.

Basically it was an ad for Broome Shire looking for tenders to divert the Fitzroy river to the south of Broome so they could finally become part of the Kimberley.

Hi Kimberley Mob and welcome to MySwag
I am also a new member and have found so much great information here.
We are from Lake Gregory in the East Kimberley, just down the track from Balgo Hills and frequently in Fitzroy, Derby and Broome, as well as Halls Creek and Kununurra (via Turkey Creek).
May catch up one day.
Regards
Tjupurula

Thanks guys
Yes we got back alright from Meeka with the (our) new Camprite
Still haven't taken any photos yet, even though we've set it up a couple of times
I think we just keep getting too excited and don't remember until after we've packed up!!!
But not long now and the weather will be perfect for plenty of camping
Already have a trip booked for May at Port Smith south of Broome (down in the Pilbara bwhahaha) where we will be trying out the Camprite and the inlaws will be trying out there brand new caravan

What do you do over that way Tjupurula?
I used to live in Halls Creek back in the late 90's
Although it was strictly a swag and a big esky those days!!!
