Hold on folks.

They have apologised, repeatedly. Cpl Roberts-Smith has accepted their apology. How is it you are all more outraged than he? You are all now giving life to an episode that was disrespectful and unworthy, but has passed. Let it go.

Let us not fall into the trap of thinking that evening television is the true measure of our society; it is not. Or at leats I hope it is not. It is generally banal, shallow entertainment(?) for the unthinking.

I long for the days of James Dibble and Brian Henderson, when news was delivered with dignity, and the trivial and minutae was reserved, occassionally, for the closing 30 seconds of the program.

Shock jocks, the 24 hour news cycle and cheap tabloid newspapers have degraded reporting. Demand higher standards, but apply them to oneself also.
Very well said

Such a good guy.....such a good solider.....nothing would have been for show during the interview, that was him 100%.
And there goes media reporters again making an embarrassment of themselves.....I love how passionate we are in this country. Time to move on, however ensure we keep making our voices heard and read between the lines. Lets not buy into the Shit media tries to feed us.

Being an SAS Corporal Robert's-Smith would not have given a flying continental about the comments made. These guys in the SAS are "bullet proof" all of the world's military aspires to the levels of the Australian SAS! These are the guys you want on your side!

I believe the comments were a disgrace and only by people airing their views do others get to know the strength of feeling.

Buch of dopey molls denigrating people who have achieved something. Who are they and Why are they on our screens anyway ?
Just a reminder that it was one of the girls on the Circle, not all of them.  I think the others were really shocked, although neither of them spoke up and told the others they were out of line.  George Negus of all people should know better, he should be really ashamed of himself.  The young woman was just an idiot.  I've got to say that most disappointing is their versions of an apology.

Very sad day when a true hero who was willing to give his life for others, is treated with the contempt that the circle showed them.  Cpl Roberts-Smith reaction to this debacle says everything about the man.
