So what did they set you back?
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

So what did they set you back?

Obviously didn't cost him a brass razoo...

He'd spotted them on another car & simply took 'em.
If you look at the pic again, you'll see he's putting his old plates on the car he got them from, while his missus is being 'look out'!

That's a pretty funny spin you have put on it.

You may have to park your car at my place.  The nearest bitumen is about 300 km's away.

I read his plates as saying "I Hate Tarmac", I could be wrong but that is what it said to me.

You read them correctly tjupurula.

Sorry I haven't replied guys been up to Karijini NP. We did a stop at 40 mile beach then on to exmouth and kalbarri. 4500kms all up.

I had to get some pics of the car of the tarmac since I hate it so much.

Here in West Aussie you buy the plates, $420 and then you own them for life, no further costs involved
They are available in various colours and in 2 x different sizes too, so you buy them to colour match and size to suit the vehicle
I use the normal size @ the rear and the smaller plates @ the front ( as seen in icon photo below )

It's not by choice!

Looking at your photo, you could have parked it a few inches forward so at least the front tyres were on the grass  ;D

Cheers
