Hi Quent,
Every pack up is different....depending on the prevailing weather... For us we do several things as I'm sure you do to.
If the camper is going to be opened again the next night (ie. travelling) then not so important although we do try to get it as dry as possible. However if it is going back into the garage we
1. Look at where we are setting it up in the first place so that we hope to catch the morning sun - this obviously assists in the drying/airing process
2. Open and peg out or try to loosely tie back all flaps, window covers etc to allow breeze to blow through for as long as possible
3. Pack everything else away first so that the last thing we do is pack down the camper.
Then, if still in any doubt we open it up and air it out at home at first available opportunity.
Can't put a better time on it than that.
One other thing - we carry a big tarp (20' x 30'), extra poles etc and we throw it over the whole set up if it looks like rain! We still get air circulation under the tarp but takes less time to air it/dry it out before we pack up.
