When we hired our campers we used cil as they were the only  ones that covered hire campers. We sent them to the Cape 10 times a year and had 2 campers written off and they were covered plus gear we had inside up to $1000.

I can only speak about our experience and as they say always read the PDS about any insurance company. They covered what ever the kilometres were to get the campers back as it's $1000 to tow a camper from Coen to Cairns.

I have insured my camper with them due to the great service we received. As I said I am not here pushing their product but just my experience and yes there are a number of good insurance companies just make sure they insure what you want and where you travel.

Well we have just started the process off trying to find someone who will insure a camper trailer. I printed the list of questions out from the first post and thought I was all armed and ready.

Well first call was to AMMI as that is where all our insurances are with but was told "NO we do not do that".

Ok now looking through phone book and web to see what I can find

dont do which in particular?

They do not insure camper trailers  ???

Just tried Shannons (still under the Suncorp umbrella) and they do not either but have suggested CIL (still under the Suncorp umbrella) so now going to see what they come up with.

Well have to say CIL was very helpful and answered all the questions I put to them.
