I don't think they did!

It would appear that luck was more important than engineering design or drivers skill...

crud where is that discussion on OH&S, maybe some things improve with legislation.  Mind you it blows me away how many got up and walked back to their cars????

The banked circuit looks like Brooklands in England. Ive seen many images but no movies of this ever.

yep but the bike doesnt often roll on you unless you high side real bad.  blows me away to think of those metal coffins slamming the lid down on you that hard and you can still get free, with the bike you dont normally role 10 or 20 times whilst trapped.

At 1:35 - don't think he was wearing a seatbelt, as it looks like he ended the rollover with his head down under the dashboard...

2:10 - cameraman may have changed careers after that, if he survived

They sure took incredible risks, looks like they considered bailing out to be a safer alternative to staying with the ship!
