4WD Action pulls a few heartstrings
« on: October 28, 2011, 03:37:58 PM »
Just watched the latest DVD from issue #172 and got to see a story about a bloke going through a bit of a rough patch.

For those who haven't got the mag yet you can see the thread that started it all here - http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=113353

Now I know we all have the odd beef about the magazine for various (and sometimes justified) reasons, but you cannot take away what the magazine and a few of their sponsors have done for this guy.

As someone who has had to battle with the 'black dog', I have no shame in admitting a lot of what was said struck a chord, and I was blubbering away like a baby by the time he got his truck back.

So two thumbs up to the lads at 4WD Action for doing something to be proud of.
Do not PM me for technical advice - start a thread.

Wow what a story, it does make you feel great to be able to help others out. The great Aussie mate spirit lives on.

Shows what the 4wd fraternity can do when someone is down on their luck.

I am always amazed at the number of 4wd club members who get stuck in and help out after fires/floods etc.

Maybe Scrooby needs to come out on a fencing trip...

No matter what one may think of the mag, they occasionally can do a real good deed  - good on them.

Cheers
