Landcruiser stolen.
« on: September 15, 2011, 08:22:10 PM »

Hi All

I haven't been around for a bit, just real busy.

Some low life stole my cruiser out of my Driveway on Friday 2nd, yeah I know, Im late posting about it. Its a white landcruiser 2001 petrol 100 series, white ARB winch bar colour coded bumper and side trims, leather interior and all the usual gxl trims. Ive had a bit of a look around, asked other 4x owners to look along the beach etc but its pretty hard looking in a 2 wheel drive for a car that go go nearly anywhere lol.

Im guessing it was taken for parts or it would have turned up by now. Insurance co is being a bit funny but you get that.

Cheers Pauly

Sorry to hear that Pauly.

It's hard when you invest your time and money into a car and some low-life dweeb who's done nothing with his life takes it from you.

Hopefully the police will find it in one piece ... or you get what it's worth from your insurance company.

Good Luck!

If 'only you could take the law into your own hands.

Although my old 4runner wasn't stolen it was attempted to be stripped and then torched in a locked compund.

The Newcastle area is becoming the 4wd black hole of Australia.  I wish the police would do more in this area with the current situation.  Medowie is a known hot spot for 4wd theft stripping and torching.

I wish you all the best and hope you find it in a salvageable condition.  I know what you are going through and it is not a pleasant experience.

Regards Chris

Thanks for the well wishes.

Not impressed but cant change it, bloody thieving mungrels stoning is too good for them. Apparently theres been a few going from around here, most are being burnt out up the beach, mines not there.

Its been gone too long now so if it does turn up ill have to sell it, dont think thieves treat cars too kindly. I think the insurance will be ok just got to go through the investigation crap, they want my bank details, company financials, phone records, reciepts for the mods etc, luckily I pay all my bills on time and I have money in the bank so it should help in my favour. Unfortunatly there was no sign of break in, no glass in the drive etc so to the insurance co its suss. Apparently they are breaking into them and rolling them out. I think a troupy and an 80 went same weekend.

Time to move on, just negotiating on a 2005 sahara, should be done mid week, hopefully.

Cheers Pauly

My wife was a bit upset when she found out we were being investigated, she said she feels like a criminal lol. I explained it too her if she was paying out the coin she would ask the Q,s too. I just send off whatever they need, some blokes just doing his job.

Yep the receipts for mods and servicing is tough, I simply sent him a pic of how it was when we roughly bought it and one of it recently, I presume they just want me to show I actually had the mods, time will tell.

Cheers Pauly
