Help from perth my swaggers.....
« on: August 07, 2011, 03:16:26 PM »
Hi guys, I'm a long time lurker, occasional poster and have found this forum extremely helpful.. I've had my Pinnacle ct for just over 12 months now and have saved a few bucks and ready to start some mods. I would love to start with installing a 12v system and pretty keen to do the work myself. However I've read so much info on electrical systems it's doing my head in. Deep cell batteries, solar panels, inverters, solar regulators, fuses, dc/dc charges etccccc???????????????
I live in Mandurah WA and would love to hear from Perth ct owners, especially those who have installled their own 12v systems, so i could have a look at your setups, maybe take some photos, share a beer and some info.

Thanks All

Mike(golfster)

I am in Kalamunda, so a hike for you but there are other reasons to visit Kalamunda so you could make a day of it, eg Sunday markets.  You are welcome to come and look at how I have wired up our camper and talk batteries and solar.  Check the Mandrakes Solar site for my phone number and give me a call if you are keen.  Would need to be a fine day though as my camper is not shedded :'(

Cheers,
Mike

Start by working out what you intend to do with the camper..
mainly 4 or more weeks remote touring
1-2 week camps just out of town
Weekends now and then?

Fridge in trailer or car?
Lights? Radios?

Then work out what you think you need to run that.

Then you have a starting position
