We usually take a few candles along when camping to create a nice atmosphere at the dinner table after turning off the main lighting. Trouble is when outside they blow out if there is any sort of breeze and if we sit inside there is risk of something catching alight, especially as I normally crash out after a few beers
Anyway I'm looking into LED alternatives and wondered if anyone has any experience with them and can recommend a good realistic looking brand. I saw some tealight ones at a B&B in Hawaii recently and I was sure they were real candles at first as they were flickering away just like real tealights, i never saw them in the stores though but since I got back i've looked on ebay etc and there are hundreds of them to choose from, some starting from $1 each from China which are probably crap. I came across some others in Oz that use real wax and have remote control dimmer and color change, trouble is they are quite expensive so they would want to be good.http://www.flamelesscandles.com.au
Anyone tried the remote control ones?
Seems like the perfect safe alternative to real candles for around the house and to throw in the camper when camping.
Cheers
