Plastic blow moulded pole holder
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:49:02 PM »
Looking at putting a pole carrier on the camper. I know alot of people buy PVC pipe and cap the ends, but does anyone know if someone makes a Plastic moulded type pole carrier?  Similar to the same plastic material they use to mould water tanks, tool boxes etc.

Cheers

Can't see why you can't make one out of Poly pipe.  Only down side could be the price for the larger sizes.  On the positive side it would be much more durable than PVC, and withstand stone impacts without any worry of chipping or cracking.

That's what I was thinking, I can easily make one here at work from steel or ally, I thought there might've been a Moulded option maybe.

I saw an aluminium one on a caravan today. Do you reckon that'd work ok or would it get dinged up to easily? It looked fairly new, so hard to tell how it would stand up.

Gravel roads would give it a hard time if it wasn't thick enough and didn't have enough protection.

if any one can do it they can, they stock heaps of stuff and can make to order. No offiliation we have just used them at work and I was impressed with there water tanks for CT's. Asked them about a few things and they reckon they could build anything, worth a call  ;D
