Interesting Rig
« on: June 09, 2011, 10:57:17 PM »
Came across this today at an auction house while looking at a car for my brother.  The Camper is not actually a camper but just a big storage box from what I could make out although it was locked so may have contained a slide out kitchen.  Seems to be pretty close to the ultimate single blokes tourer and at $65K for the lot it is an easy walk in drive off proposition.  It actually looks like someone has done just the opposite to this as it had all the jerry cans and other bits like camper table still on the camper trailer.

Did you look in the ute tray area? Was that decked out?

To be honest I was in a bit of a rush and never even looked in the back window let alone tried to open the car.  I only noticed the trailer was locked because I was trying to work out what it was.   There may be pictures of it online for sale as the auction house does a lot of fixed price sales online Westside Auto Auctions if you can be bothered looking.

if the long section under the boat is empty, seems like a lot of effort just to carry a bike as well.

True but it would not take much to customise it into a pretty cool camper with slide out kitchen, awnings and custom tent.  Reading the whats included list it sounds even better than it looked.   Also it was the 4.2 TD - which being Nissan gurus you all probably new ;D
