The Tree of Knowlege
« on: April 19, 2011, 10:53:40 PM »
Hi all,
went to Loxton this last weekend, drove as far as could to the road closed sign, lost the boots and waded into the caravan park to see where the water had come up to, especially wanted to look at the tree of knowledge to see if the water had come up far enough to warrant a sign for the river height this year.
the kids had a great time playing in the 1/2 submerged playground with the carp swimming around
the caravan park has been relocated further up towards the cliffs and obviosly no camping in the normal park on the river, will be a mess to clean up
thought you all might be intersted in some pics
cheers
Garry

Just slightly water logged! ;D
So long as you have tried your best, you should have no regrets.

It truly is a sight worth seeing.

Usually over Easter there would be literally "no standing" room between camp sites along this stretch of the river front for about 750 metres or so down this track.

No doubt there will be some unhappy campers this year.

The biggest losers are the local businesses that rely on the passing trade over Easter.
