What car to buy?
« on: March 27, 2011, 06:51:14 PM »
Have got the thumbs up to buy a new work car and here is the background:

-currently have a 98 PRADO for SWMBO and it does everything we want, all be it getting old and it has not let us down once
-4 kids (currently all in car seats: 3 in ca seats in 6 months and then only 2 in car seats in 2 years)
-towing a lifestyle camper
- need room for fridge / pram / extra kids in the back of the rig depeding on what we are doing

Thoughts so far;

Prado GXL - tried and tested but no room between the back seat and tail gate and the seat belt receivers are floppy and move when you are trying to lean over and pu the seat belts on the kids

Patrol Ti- looks the goods but lap belt and the middle - middle seat is as hard as a rock as the arm rest fold down and just could not see any body sittng in it for a long period of time.

Pathfinder Ti - appears to have the most room at the back, and a heap of nm.

All feedback welcome.

Chris

Let me get this straight,  you want something that will take you, the missus, 4 kids (most in car seats) with room for extra kids, a fridge, a pram and other stuff?  How about a B Double!!!!!

Really - I got 'nuthing - other than an extension of what Speewa said  - maybe two Paj's.
SWMBO made me do it (whatever it was I did)!
VW Amarok & 'Cooper' the Tambo.

They maybe old but so many people that upgraded from a 80 Series wish they never did..    Find a good 24v HDJ80 and you are on a winner...

But I know you won't
