As we are heading into a semi remote area (The Cape) there are only a number of places that can assist if there is a breakdown Weipa, Bamaga and Coen.
Check with your insurance company what they cover because if you need to be towed it costs approx $1000 to be towed from Coen to Cairns. I know some insurance companies only cover the first 100klms.
When we had our camper hire company we had 2 campers brought back from the Cape and as we were with CIL they covered eveything. Our excess was only $200. Also bring your policy with you. Hopefully we will not have any problems.
