Just had a look at the updated Rainfall and Flood Maps , By golly even without further Catchment Rainfall , of which there;s more predicted , one would think that the Ferry being needed would be a certainty , cheers.

Reports are saying that the "reinforced concrete" walls, which have cracked & shattered, basically have wire inside them, rather than reo steel :-\
Would not surprise me at all.

Reading a news article about Vanuatu still trying to recover from earthquake & cyclone damage.

Chinese (as a gesture of "goodwill" ::)) have been building a new Presidential Palace for the last couple of years & it's almost finished ...

Until it partially collapsed during the earthquake! :o

It was the only one that collapsed in Bangkok being built by Chinese developers and it's what the Chinese population derisively call a 'tofu' building  :o

Hey Swannie!

Life gets busy Mate. It's all good. We're (Brett and I) in the same boat. Just because we're not on here all the time doesn't mean we don't care or have lost interest, we've just got a bit going on at the moment between one thing and another.

I read these quotes the other day and found them again to post here - I felt they were relevant...

"A strong friendship doesn’t need daily conversation, doesn’t always need togetherness, as long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part." — Auliq Ice

“There is magic in long-distance friendships. They let you relate to other human beings in a way that goes beyond being physically together and is often more profound.” — Diana Cortes
