Me personally dont have an issue with it - rather them parked up than being towed :. Theres a van near my place thats being 'lived in' for few years now with extension leads etc leading to it.
But I guess it depends if you park like this bloke

If you can't get it into your property either don't buy it or pay to store it. Exceptions for visitors up to 4 weeks.Agree.
I suspect there is no simple solution to this. ie It is a registered vehicle on a public road. In that regard it is no different to a truck or a bus or any other large vehicle etc etc....
