Have followed for quite some time.
It will extend the NP to almost my back yard so in a sense it doesn't quite directly effect me but will effect many many others, and i theorise that if/once it goes through, "my backyard" won't by far away. No more firewood. No more walking dogs every night in bush. My grandkids won't be able to camp in the same spots my kids did, I did and my Dad did. No need to keep all the old logging tracks open so will be closed as they don’t go anywhere in particular or to any "tourist draw cards".
Lots of information flowing, with lots of verifiable verifiable sources, and lots of information to contridict the extreme greens.
Such as the claim that 90 odd percent of Victorians were in favor of GFNP turns into was actually a survey of 800 people of an inner Melbourne suburb, or recent green claims that DEECA are now logging more forest under the pretence of fire break maintenance than Vic Forests were before they were closed down. Seemingly ignoring the fact that there are virtually no hardwood hauliers or harvesting operators left, drastically reduced number of hardwood sawmills (the biggest relying on wood coming from Tassie or US), and the principle consumer of the low value pulp (APM) shut their white paper line so no longer use hardwood (now have in excess of 4,000t/wk of unrequired plantation bluegum that the native used to supplement going for export).

Sorry. Got on a rant!

Fire control, This is something that has been discussed by our RFS brigade & area command have spoken about, we can not send appliances into country where they will be at risk or damaged.
Travelling recently in 'Our backyard', it seem forest trails & fire trails are not maintained to what they use to be ten years or so ago.

The greenchits are out of control.  >:( Half the places that are worth while visiting are locked up from 4x4 access but nobody with kids can walk the distances too see these areas and then the tracks into get overgrown and when there is a fire the fire fighters can't get in and there's more carnage than there should be!  >:D

The below link is to those who oppose this.
https://notogreatforestpark.org/
I am not trying to scaremunger, this has many implications across Australia.
As President of our 4wd Club(NSW), and our club is affiliated with the NSW 4wd Association, this concerns our members as there a whispers that NSW is looking at this as well.
NSW has the Great Koala Park plan, after the fires in 2019/20, where SCA(State Conservation Area's) are popping up. Areas where only a couple of years ago where open tracks in State Forests, now have locked gates(similar to NPWS) In place.

What are others thoughts of this?
Do we all, that travel & enjoy country need to voice our objection?

??

Frankly these new dash's are the most boring, un-inspring bit of design ever...

2025 Tuscon Hybrid..  prefer the SHMBO 2016 version.

Although does look remarkedly similar to my old 85 SD1 Rover V8.....     That car was a rocketship.

Sorry, I was referring to what you said a while back about having to check with the local groups that won't talk to each other.
Ok, All good.
