Just saw on the news that there is some open house thing I have never heard of going on in Brisbane over the weekend http://brisbaneopenhouse.com.au/ (http://brisbaneopenhouse.com.au/) . I had a look at what's open in my area and noticed the Archerfield Aerodrome is in the list, a quick search there shows the Roulettes are doing a display at 10 a.m, reckon I might take the kids fown to watch them....will bring back memories of when as a kid we used to live about 200mtrs down the road from the aerodrome, and i'd sit on the roof of our house watching stunt planes do their thing at the air shows that used to be held there.
Some interesting places open over the weekend, the places I am most interested in needed to be pre booked and are booked out already, bit of a shame that.

thnkng of heading to the fort tomorrow, have lived in Brisbane all my life and can't recall ever going there. Same goes for St Helena Island, whilst not part of this event, I don't think I have ever been there either.

hey edz,
i headed out to Fort Lytton after lunch today...wow that place is well worth visiting. I didn't do a guided tour, but am considering heading back there tomorrow to do one. I spoke to a few volunteers in various areas and got some great info about the places history. They are firing a few of their big guns there 3 times a day, the shock wave that hit me from the biggest one was a decent thump, not to mention how loud it was. 8)

A few pics from today.... 7 news showed them on the 6 o'clock news tonight and said they went for 15 minutes, it was actually a bit over 20 minutes that they performed. Pics aren't the greatest, the dull overcast day and resizing them ddmaller has made them look pretty dark once posted here.

Was at the markets this morning and watched them fly over. Was pretty impressive. Spewing I didn't know they were on either.
