Title: FFS not again
Post by: Bird on October 28, 2016, 10:06:49 AM
Mundine V Green?

Is that the best that Australian Boxing has to promote?
If so close the doors and give it away.

Boxing... Gave it up ages ago. You have to wonder about some of the match-ups they throw together at the moment.

McGregor vs Alverez, 11 Nov, on the other hand...

Just a money grab to further their retirement lifestyles .. Guaranteed walk away with $10 mil each win, lose or draw .. So step in the ring take one punch fall down and walk away with $10 mil ...  ;D
Sure is going to be a fair dinkum fight [ NOT ], Wonder if they will  take acting lessons to make it look good for the punters .

I suspect you may be right, but I hope you're wrong, and they have a decent crack.
I also hope Green beats the living s@%t out of Mundine.

The thing that gets me most is, where in hell do they find the clowns that  put up the $30 mil for the fight to go ahead in the first place ..
The promoters walk of with a tidy $10 mil just for a bit of advertising and renting an oval for a few days .
Im definately in the wrong line of work .

Don't pubs & clubs pay to have it on their big screens, also doesn't the punter with pay TV pay as well through their subscription to have Foxtel/Austar or what ever it is called chip in?
I could be wrong  ???
That's why I will never have pay TV, I refuse to pay to watch sport, eg Supercars  >:D

Bikers & crime figures, money's chicken feed compared to what they will make in the betting circles

My friend is best mates with " Brad Pit" the Australian boxer.

Awsome fighter, he tried to challenge Green to an official fight, Green wouldn't accept.

These so called title fights are fixed, the "Greens" and the "Mundines" only select fights they believe will win. If they beleive if they won't win, they won't accept the challenge.

UFC is more exciting to watch these days.

..... If they beleive if they won't win, they won't accept the challenge....

I can see the logic in that....

Mayweather vs Pacquio comes to mind. Wait until pacquio is past his prime and about to retire and the challenge him. Keeping your title and a tidy pay day.

Doesn't always go to plan though. Check out the reaction of the WBO president on in the Jacobs v Pirog fight is this selection
