Picked up my Camel Beachcomber from Don in Sydney last Friday. Absolutely wrapped with the Camel. Don and Eddie at Camel were superb. Oustanding service and a great looking trailer. Cant wait to take it out once this East Coast Low clears off!!!

Hey mate congrats on the camper. Quick question or two, how did you find the customer service from Camel?...have you checked all the canvas for cuts etc?...did you find any problems??
-
nice mate, fellow camel owner as of the weekend :cheers:
-
Congrats mate lots of fun ahead.

Did they let you know they were closing? Not that it matters I guess everything is universal, except warranty?
-
Apparently they went into administration last night.
-
I picked up a second hand one over the weekend, not to fussed everything is easy to get except the warranty which is only valid for the original owner anyway... I wanted another tank and they make one of the better ones. Another person said it was their choice to close which I find hard to believe if they weren't telling anyone.

Bastards won't answer phone, didn't give me a reciept, cuts in canvas from new....should have bought Chinese.

When we picked it up he "Emailed" it to us, which of couse didn't happen.

Without wishing to seem vindictive, this goes to why they aren't operating anymore.

Pretty weird beacuse every seems to say they are decent quality campers.... haven't read many bad things about them

............ Another person said it was their choice to close which I find hard to believe if they weren't telling anyone.
That is why it is called 'Voluntary Administration'............hahahahaha
Saves them from creditors putting them into Liquidation.......[temporarily }

I did hear that it was receivership, but hey, this thread is about Matt enjoying his new camper so let us say no more on it.
