Title: Custom Camper Tent
Post by: naddis01 on June 12, 2016, 09:35:24 PM
I am looking at making a custom tent to suit my trailer. I like the idea behind Trak Shak and Delux Campers. What I would like to know is what it would very roughly cost to get just the tent (all the canvas work) made similar to these campers? I can do all the steel work.

Similar to the pics.

Recently I had to get the tent on my trailer replaced, which I ended up getting replaced (at a reduced cost) by the manufacturer.

However I did ring a local canvas guy and asked about a rough cost to replace my 12ft walk up tent with awning and all walls and the answer was between $8000 - $10000.

I dont know if that was a legitimate price or the guy just wasnt interested (he didnt sound interested.)

Rear fold with about 7 ft long rear fold section on ground and an 8 ft awning (but no walls on awning). About $2000 for canvas about 2011. I did frame work.

Trim and Canvas Co, Traralgon, Vic. Top job. Used to do canvas work for O'briens Campers.
