Just seeing if anyone has had issues with the waeco cf50 might be buying one soon for a good price

Search waeco and thermistor in electrical.
I have one and like it.
Early one needs a seperate 240v transformer to run on a.c.

Later ones had it built in.  Look for a computer or 'JUG plug' type socket.

We've run a CF-50 for a few years now and its been great.  Ran as a freezer all through our WA/NT trip a few years ago in the alluminium front tool box of our camper in very warm weather and never missed a beat.  Also ran as a freezer in our van.

Using it for 10 years.
It is struggling when the ambient temperature is over 35 degrees but I think that every fridge will struggle.
Only had to replace the light switch and the 12V power cord.

Also check the latch. They can pop out and not work although replacements are available.
Lids are reversible. The hinge mechanism (for want of a better term) can get a little worn.

Well the new ones are the CFX range.  They are more efficient. I brought one a couple o months ago and haven't even plugged it in yet. The only reason I brought it was it was on special and came with the Bag, stand and other goodies.

We were thinking of a bigger one as our 13 and 10 year old are eating like wolves.

The thermistor in the ealier CF50 used to go causing the fridge to freeze everything
Ive had 2 replaced in two separate fridges around 6 years old...its around $170 to do it...
that's about the only thing ive had go wrong with them
