Gidday, I have a hybrid camper and on the passenger side it has the external shower. We have recently returned from a couple of weeks touring and one of the things we have learnt is the length of the shower hose limits were you can have a shower eg, on some occasions it would have been far more helpful to have been able to have a shower at the back of the van instead of the side where the external shower is fitted.
Can I simply put a hose snap connection on the end of the shower hose that would allow me to put a longer hose on the end if required so we could run the shower at the back of the van or would that place to much load on the water pump ?
TIA. Spud

We just used roughly 5m of clear 10mm PVC tube [ from the big green shed ] for our shower hose from the heat exchanger unit mounted on the truck, for our last shower set up .. from memory the pump is a 12.5 lpm one and had decent shower preasures etc ..
You could use Nitto airline fittings as quick connectors .

Yes, I have used our fill hose 15m to extend shower to a run off area, with an 11lpm pump.
Just remember that the longer the hose the more water wasted as cold.

Just add from my own experience. If using joiners I now just use yr simple standard tap connections.
2 reason.
1. I have used the quick stainless connection only to have them end up rusting around the ball bearings. The also became very hard to open and close once any grit/dirt gets in.
2. By using every day tap connections if 1. Accidently gets broken or a simple design change is needed parts can be pretty much brought cheaply from anyway these day's, and don't rust.
