No good. Very sad when someone gets to the stage that doing something fatal, to them, is the next logical step.

Tragic.
It's just as important for us to ask someone else if they are ok. That simple act could save someone's life.
A few years ago, I kept meaning to catch up with a friend but could never find the time, then one day I got the message to say he'd jumped off the heads at Sydney. I wish I'd made the time.

Depression is simply a subset of what this clever lady called nervous illness-
http://www.claireweekes.com.au/ (http://www.claireweekes.com.au/)
The problem is with suicides they're incredibly mentally strong at suffering in silence until such time as their depression is so pronounced it overcomes the natural survival instinct and for them the afterlife couldn't be any worse so what's to lose? A complete shock to those around them that don't suffer like that although we'll all have our moments of depression but have the normal ability to recover from such episodes.
Claire Weekes understood the symptoms of nervous illness and how sufferers could also recognize them and appropriately deal with it. That's her great legacy to the medical and psychological profession nowadays.
