Title: Steps
Post by: cayla13 on October 11, 2015, 09:58:01 PM
Just wondering if anyone had seen anything like these in Australia? My knees are stuffed, so getting up and down a little ladder to get in to bed isn't really working for me anymore and these look like a good alternative.
They fold flat as well which is very appealing as space is limited in the camper trailer.

cheers

Nothing in Australia that I have seen.

The steps are

But the postage will be a killer

Try an OHS supplier.

We had a similar step ladder to this at work, but 2 step.  It is solid and has a fairly wide step

I had a look at your link and it looks they are a flat pack, and not a folding step.  Might get away with a handful of wing nuts.

I have the same problem with knees,45 years of steel roofing has taken its toll I made a set of these, they lock into a flat aluminium bar under the mattress, very stable and good seat for pulling the boots on,an aluminium fabricator could knock one up don't know about cost though I would be about $150 + postage, postage would be high I would thinkIMG]http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/11/7239a467e91466ef44bd3a03dcc496ab.jpg[/IMG](http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/11/446281cf3e62332dbd25e20007f09784.jpg)

Made something similar with 25mm square tube and 7mm ply.  Cost less then $50.  Steps have a rise of 190mm and a tread depth of 300mm.  3 steps up to a platform to get into bed.  Very easy to get in and out of bed.

If you have room, my trailer has a set of these built into it.. bottom step folds onto next step, then the whole thing slides out of sight.

The platform is multi use as a table for games etc.  Step rise is actually 150mm. Each packs to about 50mm and weigh about 10kg each.
