I bought the Aldi one for $50 and tried it once. Seemed okay but installed a truma gas heater so sold it in eBay for $56

Yes.  I have one and use it quite a bit.  In fact I was using it last weekend :-).  I like the design and its stability, two output settings and automatic cut off from it were to get knocked over.  Often find the low setting does the job although the that's in a gazebo so a bigger space may need the higher setting and of course depends on the weather.  So yes take this most places and comes in handy.  Of course you soon go through gas bottles but it's worth it to be warm.  Can always refill the bottles or could look to use a larger bottle with the right adapt or.

We have one of the ones Edz shared the link for great little heater, we also have the Coleman HWOD with the gas hose to run of the 9 kilo gas bottle. can hook straight up to the heater.

Companion have an LPG one out with nice safety features-

but a bit more costly upfront-

Still you could use it at home to polish off the residual LPG you tend to donate regularly to Bunnings  :-*

If you're looking at Gasmate or Jackaroo butane heaters, you might want to read this.

That recall is rubbish, why pick out 1 brand, the warning on carbon monoxide poisoning applies to ALL combustion heaters used inside unless you have a carbon monoxide alarm

We've got the Gasmate one and used it about 1/2 dozen times in the Trackie just to take the chill off the air before going to bed.  We would never leave it on for any length of time without also leaving a flap or two ajar to ensure fresh air still comes in.
Ducted heating only for old retired farts or catwhipped men IMO;D

Or wait till Maldon and Helen can say it >:D
you'll be waiting a loooooooooooong loooooooooooong time............lol
