Hi has any one fitted one of the drop down fridge slides in the back of a alloy ute tray which still has the drop sides fitted ? Went to tjm they looked it the tray and it's about 55 mm with the width of the side as well as the gap to allow the side to swing down . Was told I wouldn't be able to install a drop down and still leave the sides of the tray attached . Has any got a work around for this and pictures of same
Thanks

Good question mate. I'm waiting for replies to this. I've been wracking my poor old brain for years over this. I've had several ideas but there's always been a glitch. Lucky I'm tall I suppose as I've raised the tray on the ute.

Are you talking about dropping the side dropped down and you require an extra 55mm of height or 55mm of extension to allow the slide to drop down over the edge?
If it's height then some spacers work, however if it is distance then a short sliding base that extends out the required distance should work?

Scratch that, how about a ds40 drop slide from msa.
It states that the front the sideman be mounted 80mm back from the front edge.

Clearance is an issue with DS's but we had a Platinum DS60 on our BT50 that had to clear a 40mm [I think] space, if you were not careful it would catch on the side.
Have you considered a tilting slide or even placing the DS on another set of runners to take it out the extra distance?
