Gday All
Wondering if any Myswaggers out there have a Mountain Trail EDX, We went to the Border camping show on the weekend
and checked them out. We went there with plans to look at KK, Aussie swag and Complete Campsite but in our opinion
found the Mountain trail hard floor were a better build quality.
I was hoping to hear from anyone that may already have one and get a bit of a report on them from a real world camping
perspective.
Cheers

Not sure what Model Mountain Trail GURich has, but its done more klms around AU than just about any other on this forum.
Well worth looking at... but better build than "KK, Aussie swag and Complete Campsite"... biggest call of the eon!

Hi Bird
We were disappointed and surprised with the finish of the other campers, when the asking price is around 60k we had fairly high expectations
especially the KK which we were very keen on

I have looked at these campers and they are up in my top 3 for a next replacement. Very well built trailers. Maybe time for another raffle

Hi All
Well we have layed down the hard earned on a EDX
Delivery not till January so in for a very long wait
We went to the factory last week and had a look around, got to see a couple half finished so could have a really good look behind to bling.
Very impressed by the build quality and the fit and finish
We are looking to purchase 120w solar panels, has anyone had any experience with the blanket type?

I like the look of the projecta 120w folding - can pick up for around $600 on sale. If running into the EDX I think you will need to by-pass the solar regulator that comes on the panel but this is not difficult.

Would to love to hear your comments on the EDX. We have one on order and would be good to hear if everything has met your expectations? From what we saw during the factory tour, these are quality campers. What options did you get? Did you get solar? Have you had to manoeuvre it manually onto a site- is it managable? Thanks

Whilst we don't have the EDX model, we are extremely happy with our older Mountain Trail camper (we've really put it through it's paces >:D), and can vouch for Nick's great after sale service.
Congrats on the camper, and happy camping!
Cheers

We went to the Brisbane Camping show looking at the Hybrids and campers as a last everlasting replacement. We were disappointed with the quality of some of the campers for the price they were asking and the extreme price of the hybrids.
We looked at the Mountain Trail EDX and found it to be of excellent quality with everything we need. I guess the old adage I true, you get what you pay for.
Anyway we placed a deposit and the delivery of the MTC EDX will be mid August, Its a long wait.

What price are these campers?
-
I think around $60K? an owner may be able to confirm please?
They won COTY 2016 http://www.campertraileraustralia.com.au/campertrailer-reviews/1602/camper-trailer-of-the-year-2016-winner-mountain-trail-edx/ (http://www.campertraileraustralia.com.au/campertrailer-reviews/1602/camper-trailer-of-the-year-2016-winner-mountain-trail-edx/)

Yes, $60K plus any special mods. We pick ours up in a couple of weeks.
-
Congrats Mountain Trail owners. I too saw them at the Brissy show. Absolute quality. Love the large floor area and the fact it is self supporting with no feet required. (true?)
-
I have only recently heard about them but had spent a fair bit of time researching mods for my camper and had formed a reasonable idea in my head of what an ideal soft floor would be when I first saw their Escalade, it is almost exactly what I had in mind and if I had a large budget it's where I would be going. They seem to offer very well thought out campers at a very high standard.

Our order is fully optioned. All the bells and whistles.
I thought their panel does by-pass the solar regulator that comes on the panel as it connects to the Redarc Battery Management system. Maybe a current owner could confirm.

Correct - any solar input up to the 30A limit of the Redarc. I will use the two 120W solar panels I already have.
