Mick Fanning, what more can i say.
If Mick Fanning hadn't reached 'legendary' status after punching a shark and escaping an attack during a surfing competition, then he has reached it now.
It has been revealed the Aussie surfer, a three-time world champion who punched the creature in a bid to stop the attack during the JBay Open surfing competition in South Africa, has donated his AU$75,000 appearance fee for the exclusive interview with Australian show 60 minutes.
Fanning has given the money to Australian bodyboarder Matt Lee who was attacked by a shark near Ballina, New South Wales last month. Lee received serious injuries to both his legs and had to be put into a medically induced coma.
Nine Network boss David Gyngell rounded up the total to $100,000 by donating $25,000 of his own money.
Fanning hoped to visit Lee in hospital during his segment on 60 Minutes but Lee was unable to appear.

I'd also say that David Gyngell deserves a beer for donating $25,000 of his own coin towards it.

Unfortunately, it was a real guide dog and it didn't think much of me stuffing a coin in it's ead..... but it did go in, eventually.... :D
