Title: Looking for a house or farm stay for family reunion
Post by: plusnq on July 01, 2015, 06:34:24 PM
Hi Everyone,
I am looking  for a recommendation for a large house or farm stay that can accommodate 15-20 people. Inland from Brisbane preferably for a June long weekend family reunion. Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Shane

Or Oldmates.
Or combine them.

There are also some places like that up near Budderim and/or down near Mt Tambourine.
Can't remember what they are called but a google search will probably lead you there.

If you can't find somewhere and depending on how far you want to travel, you could try the Springbrook PCYC camp. We stayed there a few weekends ago, booked out one of their 2 camps for a catch up with mates and their families. Cost $10 per person per night, gets you basic cabins with bunk beds to sleep in, each has a shower and toilet in it, and full use of the commercial kitchen and meals area which has a fire place you can use and a TV there to watch also. They have a few rules to follow, but if you're not planning on being drunken yobbos, the rules aren't an issue.

There is a place in Kooralbyn with a sign on it for a farm stay, but I don't know what the place is like or how many people it takes. It is a horse based place.
Cheers

Another possibility is the bunkhouse at Bigriggen, Rathdowney.

Supposed to be school groups & so on but may be able to work something?
