Can anyone with a 265/75 or 70 16 tyre on a 16 inch rim lay it on a flat surface and place a piece of timber or bar across top face and then measure down to the ground for me.
i am trying to establish the thickness of this rim/tyre combo.
My 285/75/16 on 16 x 8 is 295mm
i tried google but just keep getting height not thickness
thanks jet ;D ;D ;D

just to let you know it was still on the van when i measured but put a piece of (edit)checker plate back and front as a straight edge

Thanks mate :cup: :cup:
interesting the 285 grows to 295 and the 265 stays at 265 ..
thanks again mate ..maybe it was the mud tyre that made it fatter.

All good mate 5-10mm difference is not that important at this stage ..I have since found out thet my new trailer was engineered with 265/75/16 tyres in mind. So i will be going with that size and put to be my idea of using the bigger rubber.
thanks again mate
