Title: Thumbs Up Piranha Offroad
Post by: Bird on May 04, 2015, 03:58:50 PM
Well after my weekend power/fridge issue and thinking it could be the DB180S, I called the guys at Piranha, and they said no issues to bring it down and they will check it.

Got there, dude came straight outside and into it ;D Testing had him perplexed at first when I told him the symptoms etc.. He tested things and it pointed to the DB...

Took car into the workshop to remove the DB.. The workshop bloke also straight into it.. I went looking around goodies in the showroom, 5 mins later the bloke comes back and said found the issue - earth strap....

5 mins later, its earthed to alternator - all re-tested and given the thumbs up....

NO charge, and have a good day sir..  :cup:

I've been to their store twice, and both times had service like this... so massive (http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/1/25028000/ngbbs533ce4629f16d.jpg)

Nice one mate.
The guys at Piranha are great to deal with and really know their stuff.
They installed my db system in the Paj a few years ago (db 180s like yours) and I couldn't fault the workmanship.
Took it back to install the Towpro a few weeks ago. When i went to pick it up they said my trailer plug was rooted. They noticed the Pajero club sticker on the car and didn't charge for parts or labour on a new plug (they are a great supporter of the club).
Stuff like that and what you experienced will have me going there again and also recommending them to anyone.
And jeez they've got some goodies in the shop ;D

Ok someone has to say it.

There's a reason your fridge isn't cooling, you've left the lid open.

I agree I recently bought my winch from them. They came out and made sure the Bullbar was a winch bar etc and some wiring advice for wiring it up.

I also purchased my snorkel off them many moons ago when I had the Cruiser.

They have some great gear to.
I brought my snow chains from there..

Problem being now as I live in darwin I don't thinking they'll be getting much use.   ???
