Hey guys - hopefully this is in the right thread for this question.

I am looking at buying a soft floor CT, probably new, with a budget of approx $30k. I am looking very closely at the Outback Campers Tanami and am wondering what else is out there before i go to the next stage?

The key things i am looking for is a quality kitchen, with the facilities built in & plumbed, hot water service, off road ability and preferably rear entry bed (missus doesnt like me climbing in when i have had a couple to many)

Can anyone please suggest any other models to go and have a look at that they would consider taking a look at?

Rear entry will certainly narrow the list for a soft floor. Have you thought of a camper with a walkway?

With rear-entry, hot water service etc, why not go for a second hand hard-floor, like Bird already mentioned. For around 30k, you should be able to get an Aussie Swag, Kimberley, Pioneer, or any other quality Aussie made one. For the same price you can also get a new soft-floor. Many to choose from, but for that price range you would definitely go for an Aussie made one:

Go to some camping & caravan shows and see what is out there and what you would prefer. Or hire some and get a real feel for the pros and cons of different models.

Main issue with a hard floor is the lack of space with kids. A hf was originally on my list, but removed them because of this issue.

Outback make a good camper.  They don't go over the top with 'frills' but make sure the basics are solid.  Good value.  Our Sturt has had some fairly hard treatment, and suffered only minor (mostly cosmetic) issues.   You won't go wrong there.

Do any other manufacturers do a soft floor rear fold?

Tambo do a soft floor with walkup to the bed in the Omeo model.  The tent area is big, we fit 3 kids in on stretchers without difficulty, plenty of storage and a great slide out kitchen and pantry. Rock solid off road camper. All less than 30k
