Gday All,
Like many Swaggers,Bev and I have got to the stage of maybe looking at something a little different before we embark on our next big trip around Oz comes around. You know the story.........little or no canvas, solid walls, easier set-up and pack up(especially for quick overnighters),yet still capable of some reasonable off-road work to get to those out of the way camping and fishing spots
I guess with so many new "hybrid" campers on the market our choice is getting wider, but many of them seem to be either very expensive, heavy to tow or both. I like the look of the Lifestyle Hypercamper that has just been released, which I think is quite similar to our Adventure camper set-up but withour the canvas.
The other camper that caught our eye while travelling was the Avan, and with the recent release of their "off-road" model I'm wondering whether one of these might fit the bill. No outside cooking I know, but we pretty much do all our camp-cooking on the fire where possible,so a Weber Q
would probably be the go
As there's no Avan dealer in WA it makes it a little hard to see one in the flesh,so was wondering whether any Swaggers had any info/thoughts on the new Avan Adventure Plus campers ?
Cheers Darryl

I can not speak about the van, quality etc.
But
I did help a nice gent out who split the top of his head open trying to sit down on the seat inside, the roof-wall part where a window frame is got him, real good.
I had a bit of a look and could see myself bashing the scone a few times also. I know there are many vans out there with low heights, but the constant angle would through me off so to speak.
He had it set up in no time at all, and the wife and I packed it up real easy to.

Just maybe check what off road actually means cause the 1 i had a look at in Alice simply had extended shackles and larger wheels and tyres

They certainly look the goods.

Cheers. I read the review in the latest Campertrailer mag and it got a good wrap, but was hoping someone may have seen or used one in the flesh
As someone who does boat reviews for a W.A fishing magazine, it's sometimes a little difficult to bag a product when the company's paying for advertising ;D

I find that so difficult to believe.
