Title: Gold Coast CT Newbies
Post by: Mangrovematt on March 25, 2015, 07:36:50 PM
Hi all, after learning about Myswag via camping shows, we have utilised it for priceless info hints and tips to research our 1st Camper purchase, so after stalking around these pages for close to a year,we just purchased a Pre loved Camel Beachcomber, plan is to get straight out there over Easter to give it a shakedown and add what we need, it is a pretty bare bones unit so far, 10 ft Tent ,annex and drifta kitchen,My wife and I have x2 grommets,a 3 and 6 year old , all are looking fwd to getting back into camping , cheers Matt and Nerida ,

Hi  Peterr ,weather delayed the shakedown over Easter, heading over to Straddie this weekend now,
Did a day trip over Easter out to Bigriggen , poor buggers got 100mm the night before we rolled in, We liked the park and will be back with camper in-tow for sure,
Shall report back after this weekend Re: Straddie

Was camping at a mates farm at Southgate,  100m off the Ulmarra ferry..  Went to fly r/c helicopters mainly; that didn't happen much,  but we had a great rest !!

Just returned from 4 nights at Nth Straddie,
After many years in a tent and swag, what a difference this camper has made, the whole family enjoyed every minute, hosed down with rain on Friday night and no leaks to report, towed well, all round great 1st trip, although my 20 year old Engel didn't want to come(12 v side of things packed in in 2days before we left)
