Title: Cyclone Lam
Post by: Bongo on February 19, 2015, 12:33:58 PM
I heard from a remote coastal community that couldn't be evacuated; they are not worried about the storm. Their worry is the length of time that they will be cut off from the outside world. Last time they had real worries about running out of supplies.

Yeah we can only hope.  It is going from Cat 4 to Cat 3 prior to crossing but this storm is a high Cat 3 and there isn't a great deal of difference to wind speed between a high Cat 3 and a low Cat 4. Gusts of 220km/h is still a nightmare.
