Hi all,
Recently bought a MDC semi offroad trailer from the caravan & camping show, which is currently sitting behind a BT50. Its got us everywhere we have wanted to go so far. We got the upgraded suspension, shockies, axle and wheels and was told by MDC the only thing stopping them classing it as an offroad camper was the standard hitch. Looking to tow it up the beach at North Shore and Fraser this year, so may have to upgrade to a treg hitch???
Having a 3yr old and 8 month old we havent used it as much as we would liked, but are still getting away on the odd occasion. Hopefully we can get away more often as the kids get older.
Anyway looking forward to picking the brains of members on here and apologise in advance for any stupid questions ;D
Luke.

Welcome
If it were me, I wouldn't invest in a treg (or other 4wd) hitch just to get to Fraser unless it is purely a "because you want to" as I don't consider it a "need to". We have been going there for well over 20 years and only ever hand the standard hitch be it caravans, box or boat trailer.
If you wanted to spend money you could put it towards maxtrax or similar which are very useful in sand.

Thats good to know about the hitch. Money saved there. Already got the maxxtrax (dont go up the beach without them) as ive been beach driving for a while just never tower a camper up there.
