Hi folks,
I have noticed my treg hitch on the camper is making a very loud squeaking noise when turning corners and generally moving side to side. It is definitely coming from the poly block and I think it might be the pin rubbing on the brass inner ring on the poly block.
Has anyone had any similar problems with it and what did you do about it?

You've just bought Pajero yes? I have one too and the tinny makes a hell of a racket on the ball, we also hired a camper in october with a treg block and could here the same noises you described.
I personally think it is because the body forms part of the chassis and it is not rubber mounted to a separate chassis it transfers the noise to the cab. So the noise would have always have been there it is just related to the monocoque chassis.

Thanks for the reply. I am quite sure it is the hitch as it makes the same noise towing it behind the Commodore.

Ok. For the record my tinny was quiet as on the back of the patrol, but makes a racket on the pajero same size ball not loose when I try move it etc.
I also believe you move poly on a flat metal surface and it will squeak that is why poly bushes (nolathane etc) are supplied with a lithium based grease.
Goodluck with the squeak anyway mate.

I only hear my hitch when manouvering around camp/yard with the window down. Just figured it was the poly rubbing. I don't think it's that bad though.
