Not a chance....it will be lucky to see a dirt road, let alone offroad.....show vehicle only.
Not sure if it's a loan vehicle or whether WE pay for it ??

I think it would have been donated.
-
Funded by the NSW Centre For Road Safety. So, yeah, paid for by our taxes.
-
"The vast majority of motoring enthusiasts are safe drivers who do the right thing … but once more people realise how much technology we have to detect dangerous drivers, hopefully they'll be less inclined to break the law," said Assistant Commissioner Hartley.
This is paraphrase for - OUR BOYS IN BLUE WANT TO SEE WHAT SHE'LL DO !!!
-
Go on a narrow winding track with trees and that F150 can't follow you.
We had a F150 in our club and he came on one trip with that car and he went nowhere. He couldn't get the turn around a tree, too large.
-
Someone's been watching too, too much Yank tele, methinks ;D
Have to agree with WilSurf on the off road ability of that thing. The ramp over would be very limiting.
Steve

I don't get it. The police already have the toughest cars.>:D

They want something to tow with

GUEY, I can't see it. There is a ugly car in front of it.

Maybe funded by traffic fines! The NSW cops/RTA seem to know how to generate income!
Though to be fair to :police: they wouldn't have to issue fines if people didn't exceed the speed limit.... (maybe that statement needed to go into the how to start an argument thread.... :-* )

It's used to break down barriers between police and drivers that normally wouldn't interact.
We used to have a genuine stock XBGT Falcon highway patrol car that we would take to car shows and other events and it was a fantastic ice breaker.
Not sure if it really achieve anything but that the idea behind it.

Maybe a bit like wheel spacers.....Porsche used to use them, but if they come out with the car as standard, then they would be legal as they would be complied with them..
-
Here it is.
That looks like a police pack XB Falcon with bonnet hold down bolts to stop it from popping up during a high speed chase.... Definitely not an XB GT though. ;D

Not sure how it works down in Mexico, but in Queensland the Transport Department collects all revenue from police issued tickets. You can't even pay a ticket at a police station. The cops don't see any of the ticket revenue, it goes staight into government coffers. Police are allocated a budget, just like any other government department, by their political masters. The police budget is not based upon number of tickets issued or any other such rubbish.
I think you will find the Victorian state government, like all other states, would be broke without speed ticket revenue. But I don't care, cause I don't speed. More than happy for others to prop up the government on my behalf ;D
