Been lurking for a while, but with the recent purchase of a Johno's Off-road Deluxe CT after 25 years of tenting I thought I might take the plunge...
I tow the the new CT with a 150 series Prado and am looking forward to getting out and about more often. In fact, we are heading for the Great Ocean Road and Adelaide, leaving in 2 weeks time. The plan is to go north, to the Cape and the OTT in July of next year as well.
Strike while iron is hot I say!
Cheers

Hey Mick welcome To mySwag.
I can't remember from PP what your suspension is like on your Prado.
Enjoy your travels....

Hey Wagon Man,
Thanks. I've fitted a 2" lift with TJM XGS Gold and Polyair bags on the back. With the steel bar, dual battery and winch on the front the lift improved the handling and performance under brakes significantly!
The polyairs are great as Johnno's ball weight is pushing 150kg and I want to avoid the 'speedboat' effect.
Cheers
Michael

On my last trip prior to the arrival of the CT we went to Fraser.

Look like the suspension will handle it nicely.
Love the color
Are you camping the whole way down the south coast ?
-
We are camping the whole way, but doing the inland route - Albury, Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong etc and then home to Brisbane via a broken Hill.
-
G'day and welcome to the forum. Look forward to reading your trip reports.
Happy camping
