I am a bit sick of paying rego on everything and was thinking do I really need to keep the rego going on the folding boat trailer. Just wonder how many people actually register their folding boat trailer. Is it worth the risk of not having it registered for the sake of $106. :police:

I reckon it depends whether you hit a mercedes, child or copper................
Not worth the risk mate.

Reg in vic is less than half that so yes it is

My Dad lives 250 meters from a boat ramp. He normally hand pushes it to the water. A few years ago he decided to hook the tinny (on a trailer) up to the car and tow it to the water, as his knee was a bit sore. Just happened to be the same day the police decided to visit the ramp. It cost Dad $480 for towing an unregistered trailer on a public road.

A couple of years ago, the police put the cleaners through the grey head nomads in kurumba, and didn't some of them get indignant about having to have a registered trailer to use a public boat ramp, let alone the fact they were on the road with a unregistered trailer.

Surely not? The same grey heads who know everything about everything? The ones who want a definition of what "camping" is, because they have the mentality of a 2 year old & believe it's OK to free camp (free load) at a rest stop on the highway because they're "resting" for the night, not "camping"? How dare anyone question them lol! :D
