I've just been reminded that swmbo and I have been camping together for 32 years tomorrow. Doesn't time fly when you're having fun? Not a bad record apparently.
What's yours?

Since August 1982. Never had a first date, just asked her to Fraser camping. Being the romantic that I am, I did lash out and buy a 2 man tent for the trip though. What else do you say to an 18 girl that was driving a series 2 Landrover for a first car. Impressed the hell out of me. And yes I quickly had her upgrade to a quality car!!!!!
And we still have the Fraser pilgrimage, now with kids, along with all the other yearly trips. Even got married on Fraser.

Hi
Well our honeymoon was a 2 person tent, a 250cc motorbike and 2 weeks up the Snowies, Canberra, Newcastle and back down the coast in Jan 1971.
I guess we just haven't stopped since.

We were married in 1972, so that makes 42 years!! We went tent camping in our first year of marriage. Now we have graduated to the luxury (?) of a soft-floor camper :) and go out as often as possible.

Have to be somewhere around 11 years for the bride and I. First one I recall was a tent trip to the Grampians. Bloody cold, but she kept me warm

We have just started. Been together over 20yrs but she wouldn't go camping.
A year and a half ago I said we needed to show our daughter the fun of camping, as we both camped a lot as kids. So that's how I got her into camping. Well after the toilet, shower, ensuite, cap machine etc.
Bush walked everywhere but had to stay in cabins.

Does separate tents at a church camp count? If so, we would go about 36 or 37 years or something like that.
Big gap before we got back into it. Only a few years since we have been camping regularly. Buying the Jeep caused the resurgence.
-
married just 23 years (probably wrong) brought our CT last Dec been camping 5 times, one of the best decision we ever made and agreed upon
-
Coming up on 21 years for us and around 35 years for just me.

by my maths 39, and that is only since we got married.

Does a mattress in the back of my Holden EJ wagon count? If so, 40 years ago. We married two years later and bought our first tent after 2 months. First trip was to the Warumbungles and that tent lasted many years, eventually sleeping five of us!
