Title: Mirror for camping
Post by: Crimso on October 20, 2014, 07:02:36 PM
Had a small mirror we used to take camping with us, I think it lasted about two trips then ended in twenty or so pieces. Always meant to get another, but I have a beard so wasn't too fussed with the need. We mainly stay at relatively remote places such as some of our national parks & most free camps don't have basins with mirrors over them, actually most don't even have basins!

Anyway, most recent trip took us through Kroombit Tops & a few other places in the area, nowhere was a mirror to be seen, except for the rear view & side mirrors, & if you've tried brushing the curls in those you'll know it doesn't work too well. So one morning sitting there havering a coffee (love our ROK espresso machine), looking at Hema Maps on the ipad, the lightbulb went off.

These things have those cameras on both sides & can be set in "movie mode"!
Nek minit, there I was, looking at myself brushing my hair & feeling quite clever too!

OK, now please don't tell me that because I thought of it that it's already been done!  ;D

Speaking of mirrors, where can I get one with an on/off switch?

#1 Daughter spends a good 20-30 minutes gazing longingly into the mirror in the bathroom before she gets in the shower, then again another 20 minutes when she gets out. I need a mirror with an on/off switch, on a timer  ;D

Someone must make one.

Shane.
