Bird,

I had read on some site that the site was down until further notice. Apparently the site was getting that many hits that google wanted to start charging the owner for it.

Here is the post on their Facebook page. This was where I saw it. It's a bugger as I loved using it.

Dear all. I've been notified by Google that OzCamps has been getting over 25,000 map downloads per day! An amazing statistic that is right up there with a lot of large multinational companies. However it presents a problem in that Google is starting to charge for every map load over 25,000 or I can purchase a Google Business Licence (which is US$10,000/year!) As such I need to limit the usage a little and I am going to remove the Printable Maps section as this is where a lot of the downloads occur. Probably will do this next week. Sorry for any inconvenience but the main map section will continue to work and can still print out individual sites where needed. Thanks for your understanding.

That doesn't make sense, unless Google is his ISP? The ISP set's the download limit, not the search engine.

it's the number of maps, not the size of the maps...
