Looks like we are going to drop in on the Warwick Rodeo.
They have Janowen 4WD Park and Glendon Camping Park listed on the website.
What other options are close by??

Thanks guys.....I have tracked down some these, trying to maximise time at the rodeo so close as possible. I bet the caravan park is booked out.
My work has a mine out that way, might ask if any of the employees has a block of dirt close to town.

We have tried Bestbrook and found it good but as you said a little ways from town.

If you are self sufficient and heading out to Leslie Dam don't go to Washpool, go to Rocklands which is around the back of the dam. Bugger all people go there and it's a nicer spot. Especially if the creek is flowing into the dam.

done and dusted..........
the bride had a good time.....considering it was her suggestion.
we purchased the weekend pass but only ended up doing the Friday and Saturday nights. really wanted to watch the Bull Ride Final on Sunday, but it was in the middle of the day and the show grounds had next to no shaded areas........overall the bulls were too good for the cowboys, not many rode time.
the caravan park on the south side of town actually had camping space but glad we didn't stay there, along with hi-way noise it was right opposite the main carpark for the rodeo where buses were ferrying people back and forth to the show grounds until 2am in the morning. the farm was a way better choice as it was only a 20min run into town
we did a bit of exploring during the day.......got the heads up on a cracka camping spot that I believe only locals would know about, a couple of creek crossing will be tight with the camper in tow......always much easier knowing which gates and properties one can drive through
